May Angels Lead You In
We lost a dear friend last weekend. I simply cannot put my emotions into words right now. This week has been so bittersweet for me. While I feel such sorrow for Lesley's husband, Eric, her family, and myself, I have a great sense of joy in the fact that Lesley is Home with our Father. Anyone who knew Lesley knew just how much she loved the Lord. That is the only thing helping me through such a tragic loss.
Lesley, since my words are just inadequate right now, these are words from one of my favorite songs by Jimmy Eat World:
There's no one in town I know
What would you think of me now,
May angels lead you in.
What would you think of me now,
So lucky, so strong, so proud?
I never said thank you for that.
Now I'll never have a chance.
And if you were with me tonight,
May angels lead you in.

A Family that Cheers Together, Nears Forever
You know you like my catchy title....
I think it's true.
My whole family went up to the game last night. While the game didn't start until 7:35, I was not deterred. "School nights" do not apply when it comes to Bengals football. Awesome view of Cincy
Mark and I at our seats
After the 3rd quarter, seats were starting to clear out so we headed down the lower arena to swipe some seats. We ended up on the 3rd row at the 40 yard line (I eventually went down to 1st row).
I had a GREAT time (you know I was in paradise)! I am so blessed to have such a fun and wonderful family!
Congrats to Jason and Karen Ragland!
(Don't let the knife deceive you...they are happy together!)
I absolutely LOVED the cake and thought I'd post it on here for Ami who enjoys creating and decorating cakes. It was very yummy too!
I had so much fun with Mark during this wedding. At the reception, we had our own little table and I know I loved just spending time and laughing with him.
The night before, Mark and I needed to purchase a gift. We could not find a registry so we ended up creating our own gift basket for the happy couple. I started getting ideas and Mark helped me out a ton. We decided on a wine basket with glasses, ice bucket, corkscrew, candles, napkins with rings, and a nice bottle of Yellow Tail Shiraz to top it off.
Here's a picture of our final product:

Return to Earth
While my brother was updating his blog daily, I was slacking off.
In all honesty, I've been working my tail off. The school year has started and I am officially busy again. Until I can get on a regular routine again, my blogging may be sporatic and then everything will get dumped on at one time.
